The Premier Classe was first introduced in 2001, with four coaches accommodating up to 24 guests. In 2006, the Premier Classe became a dedicated luxury train, boasting with eleven coaches accommodating up to 84 guests, travelling between Johannesburg and Cape Town twice a week. Since October 2007, the Premier Classe accomodates 126 guests, covering the additional route between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. The Premier Classe offers its guests the luxury of choice between a selection of room types with on-board the opulent sleeping coaches. The Premier Classe offers superb accommodation ranging from: - a room that comfortably accommodates 2, 3 or 4 guests, and

Rooms are equipped with an internal telephone for ordering refreshments and gowns, bedding and toiletries are provided for your comfort. Enjoy the breathtaking views and landscapes from the Lounge Car, as you relax and reflect with a complimentary tea/ coffee after a fullfilling meal. Soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are available from the cash bar. Renowned chefs will tantalize you with a variety of delicious meals in the luxurious, air-conditioned Dining Car. Indulge indulge in freshly prepared meals, complemented by some of the finest South African wines. Comfortably seating 38 people in one mealtime sitting, guests can enjoy a four-course lunch, followed later by a five-course dinner.
